Our mission for a sustainable future
Our Approach to Sustainability

HOW MICROCREDIT AND SME FINANCING WORK
Success stories
Loans for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises enable people in developing and emerging countries to take up income-generating activities in order to expand or develop an economic existence. These people gain access to financial services, among other things, through the investment products we manage. Get to know some of them in our success stories.
Little money – big impact
Microfinance
Microfinance is a financing approach that aims to provide access to credit for financially disadvantaged people in developing and emerging countries. The investment funds we manage enable these people to realize their dream of self-employment.
OUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE SDGS
Sustainable Development Goals
With our investments in financial inclusion through the funds we manage, we contribute to the achievement of at least five of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – SDG 1 “No Poverty”, SDG 5 “Gender Equality”, SDG 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth” and SDG 10 “Reduced Inequalities”.

Our explanation of OPIM
Operating Principles for Impact Management
In March 2021, we signed the Operating Principles for Impact Management (OPIM). The Impact Principles provide a framework to ensure that impact orientation is effectively integrated into the entire investment process. To this end, nine principles have been established.
SUSTAINABLE FINANCE DISCLOSURE REGULATIONS
Sustainability-related Disclosures
We are committed to a targeted and measurable impact. Therefore, all the investment products we manage are classified as dark green and are based on Article 9 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on sustainability disclosures in the financial services sector (SFDR).
